In early 2016, Joseph Petry picked up a coloring book with the dreams of discovering peace. Only to unearth the confines of lines that had restrained him. Joseph’s life changed forever, after learning the Zentangle® Method of pattern drawing. He recognized even the most chaotic mind can become tranquil and mindful.
As Joseph embarked further into his creative journey. He became reconnected with a childhood past time. Joseph has been able to capture and document his experiences. Through his photographic journey, he has captured unique compositions. Many have described Joseph’s photographic scenes as powerful, sultry, surreal, mysterious, and picturesque. Over the next few years, Joseph sought to capture exquisite and surreal seascapes. He was finally, reaching a state of mindfulness. He struggled to preserve his tranquility and relaxation during the post-processing phase.
Given all the challenges in Joseph’s life, he is quite acquainted with changing tacks. His disappointment in his inability to command his chaotic mind is a chance for growth. Joseph scrutinized every aspect of his artistic journey. He is seeking an art medium capable of being both unique and collectible. One day, Joseph stumbled upon an ink shading technique known as stippling. In late 2022, Joseph embarked on his exploration of manipulating ink droplets.
